UrbAnimal and Solid Gold Northland are proud to present a food drive benefiting Save-A-Bull Rescue!

Up until the Puppy Love event on February 11th, Solid Gold Northland will be donating a portion of Solid Gold MMillennia dog food to Save-A-Bull for bags of food that are sold. What this means is:

***For every 15 pound bag bought, Solid Gold will donate 4 pounds of food

***For every 28.5 and 33 pound bag solid, Solid Gold will donate 8 pounds of food

***This counts for any Solid Gold food, so cat owners can help out, too!

It's a great way to feed your pet and help someone else feed theirs.

Even more: Solid Gold Turkey Jerky treats will be on sale for $10. Every dollar made from the treat sale will go to Save-A-Bull to offset the cost of spaying and neutering.

Come celebrate Puppy Love, a FREE Valentine's themed fundraiser. The event will take place February 11th 2012, at Urbanimal in Uptown from 11am and 3pm.

About the Rescue

We envision a world where these unjustly maligned dogs share homes with kind, loving, and competent humans, where their honor can be restored and preserved. Irresponsible owners and the media have done so much to damage these breeds' reputations, and it is our goal to remedy the situation by educating the general public on how to properly raise, care for, and love these amazing dogs. And by encouraging owners to get their dogs involved in obedience, agility, tracking, weight-pulling, and therapy work.

Save-A-Bull Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing of American Pit Bull Terriers and other Bull breeds.

Save-A-Bull Rescue is on a short list of dog rescues approved by Minneapolis Animal Control to rehome Pit Bulls.

All dogs that pass through Save-A-Bull are thoroughly temperament-tested and health-screened, and get neutered, vaccinated, heartworm-tested, and microchipped.

There are various ways you can help or get involved.

First and foremost, we're always looking for foster families.

Dog supplies. If you have any of the following items lying around collecting dust, we can put them to use in our foster homes. Let us know how to reach you, and we'll have someone drop by and pick them up:

• Crates
• Stainless steel bowls
• Leashes
• Collars
• Toys
• Chews (bones)

Donations. Save-A-Bull Rescue is a volunteer-driven 501c3 non-profit that manages to operate on a modest budget for our regular overhead. However, we frequently require financial support to cover the larger vet bills we sustain when the dogs need medical treatment. Please consider making a small donation so we can continue to give these dogs the care they deserve.
